This bill establishes a new Division on Marijuana and Cannabis Enforcement within the Department of Law and Public Safety, aimed at compiling information, raising public awareness, and serving as a centralized resource for law enforcement regarding marijuana and cannabis-related offenses. The division will maintain a database that tracks annual arrests for driving under the influence involving marijuana, as well as statistics on arrests, dismissals, convictions, and seizures related to marijuana and cannabis.

Additionally, the division is tasked with launching a public awareness campaign that highlights the dangers of driving under the influence of marijuana and the risks associated with combining marijuana and alcohol. An annual report will be submitted to the Governor and Legislature, detailing the compiled data, the division's activities, and any recommendations for legislative improvements.
