Makes supplemental appropriation of $2 million to provide aid to New Jersey Symphony.

A Supplement to the annual appropriations act for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, P.L. , c. .
Be It Enacted by the Senate and the General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. In addition to the amounts appropriated under P.L. , c. , the annual appropriations act for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, there is appropriated from the General Fund the following amount for the purpose specified:

50 Economic Planning, Development, and Security
55 Social Services Programs

2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill provides a supplemental appropriation of $2 million to the New Jersey Symphony. The money will be used to compensate for the lingering impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the New Jersey Symphonys operations and revenues, and to help offset the costs the New Jersey Symphony incurs for the numerous educational programs it offers across the States diverse communities.
The New Jersey Symphony is a longstanding cultural organization that employs roughly 400 employees across the State and provides myriad benefits to individuals and families in the State. The New Jersey Symphony makes vital contributions to the States cultural climate, and to tourism and economic development in several cities of the State.
