This bill amends the examination requirements for licensure as a chiropractor in New Hampshire. Specifically, it modifies RSA 316-A:17 to require that applicants who were licensed after January 1, 1990, must pass parts 1, 2, and 3 of the written clinical competency examinations administered by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. The previous requirement for applicants licensed or applying after January 1, 1996, to pass parts 1, 2, 3, and 4 has been deleted. Additionally, the bill introduces a new requirement for applicants to pass the ethics and jurisprudence examination given by the New Hampshire Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
Furthermore, the bill clarifies that applicants who meet all other qualifications and requirements will be registered and granted a license by the Office of Professional Licensure and Certification upon payment of the required fee and proof of passing the necessary examinations. The term "national examination" has been replaced with "examinations" to reflect the updated requirements. The act is set to take effect 60 days after its passage, and it is projected to have a fiscal impact of less than $10,000 in each fiscal year from 2026 to 2029.
