This bill amends the examination requirements for licensure as a chiropractor in New Hampshire. Specifically, it modifies RSA 316-A:17 to require that applicants who were licensed after January 1, 1990 must pass parts 1, 2, and 3 of the written clinical competency examinations administered by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners. The previous requirement for applicants licensed or applying for a license after January 1, 1996 to pass parts 1, 2, 3, and 4 has been deleted. Additionally, the bill introduces a new requirement for applicants to pass an ethics and jurisprudence examination given by the New Hampshire Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
Furthermore, the bill clarifies that applicants who meet all other qualifications and requirements will be registered and granted a license by the Office of Professional Licensure and Certification upon payment of the required fee and proof of passing the necessary examinations. The language regarding exemption from taking a written examination for those who passed the national examinations has also been removed. The act is set to take effect 60 days after its passage, with an effective date of July 27, 2026.
