This bill amends the current regulations governing the electricians' board by increasing the maximum number of terms an individual can serve. Specifically, it changes the limit on the number of terms from 2 to 3, allowing members to serve longer on the board. Additionally, the total number of years a member can serve is increased from 12 to 16 years, which includes time served in the newly defined 5-year terms, as well as any time spent fulfilling unexpired terms or being held over after a term expires.

The bill also stipulates that the terms of board members must be staggered to prevent any two members' terms from coinciding. This ensures a continuous and diverse representation on the board. The changes will take effect 60 days after the bill's passage, which is set for July 7, 2026.
