This bill amends the retirement age and tenure for the adjutant general and deputy adjutant general of the New Hampshire Department of Military Affairs and Veterans Services. Specifically, it lowers the mandatory retirement age from 65 to 64 years for both positions. Additionally, the tenure for the adjutant general is modified to be either a term of 6 years or until the individual reaches the new age cap of 64, replacing the previous age cap alone.

The bill also updates the introductory language for the deputy adjutant general's tenure, which will now also be for 4 years or until reaching the age of 64, rather than 65. These changes are reflected in the amendments to RSA 110-B:8, I and RSA 110-B:8-b, with the new legal language indicating the adjustments to age limits and tenure. The act is set to take effect 60 days after its passage.
