This bill amends the membership and duties of the trauma medical review committee by adding new representatives and responsibilities. Specifically, it inserts provisions to include one representative from each trauma hospital level of care (I, II, III, and IV), as well as trauma program managers, trauma registrars, an injury prevention coordinator, a trauma survivor, and a representative from the New Hampshire office of highway safety. Additionally, the committee is tasked with providing an annual report to the governor on the status of New Hampshire’s trauma system, detailing trauma hospitals, committee activities, and data on injury causes.

Furthermore, the bill establishes a study committee to review the composition, duties, and responsibilities of certain boards related to emergency medical services. This committee will consist of two members from the House of Representatives and one member from the Senate, with members receiving mileage compensation. The study will focus on the emergency medical and trauma services coordinating board, the emergency medical services medical control board, and the appointment process for the state medical director for emergency medical services. The committee is required to report its findings and recommendations by November 1, 2026.
