This bill amends the operational rules and definitions related to "carry-over coverall" bingo games. Specifically, it changes the definition of a carry-over coverall game to require that a prize is awarded to the player who achieves coverall within 49 or fewer balls, as opposed to the previous limit of 50 balls. If no player achieves coverall within this new limit, all remaining funds after prize payouts will be rolled over to subsequent game dates. Additionally, the bill increases the maximum total value of prizes that can be awarded on a single game date from $4,000 to $5,000, with up to $500 of that amount potentially provided by the commercial hall.
Furthermore, the bill introduces new provisions allowing for approved game patterns to be played during the carry-over game before the coverall is achieved, with predetermined prizes paid from the accumulated carry-over. It also allows for a second chance coverall to be offered after the initial coverall is achieved, again with a predetermined prize from the accumulated carry-over. The bill is set to take effect on July 1, 2025, and is expected to have a fiscal impact of less than $10,000 in each fiscal year from 2025 to 2028.
