This bill amends RSA 281-A:40 to require employers or their insurance carriers to provide detailed notifications to employees receiving workers' compensation benefits, particularly when supplemental pay is involved. The new legal language mandates that employers must issue a written notification to employees that includes a breakdown of payments, anticipated financial adjustments, employee costs of withholdings, and available payment methods. This notification must be provided within 30 days of the employee's injury, with subsequent updates required every 30 days thereafter.

Additionally, the bill stipulates that compensation payments must be made by direct deposit within six weeks of the date of disability if the injured worker opts for this method; otherwise, payments will be issued via paper check. The employer is also required to inform the injured worker of their right to choose direct deposit. The act is set to take effect 60 days after its passage.
