This bill amends the existing law regarding the procedure for correcting the voter checklist prior to election day. Specifically, it removes the requirement for a Saturday session of the supervisors of the checklist, allowing for flexibility as long as the session occurs in accordance with the statutory requirements. The language "Saturday" is removed, and the phrase "as provided in RSA 654:27" is added to clarify that the session must still comply with the relevant statutory provisions. Additionally, the bill stipulates that no additions or corrections to the checklist can be made after the designated session, except as outlined in RSA 659:12. The corrections resulting from the session must be completed by midnight on the following Friday, either through updates to the existing checklist or by posting a new corrected version. Notice of these changes must also be communicated to the town or city clerk. The act is set to take effect 60 days after its passage.
