This bill mandates that moderators at polling places designate a specific area for electioneering and provide a schematic of this area to candidates and the secretary of state. The designated electioneering space must be visible and within conversation-level sound of the primary entrance to the polling place, adhering to any local regulations. The bill introduces new requirements for moderators to create and distribute a schematic drawing of the electioneering area within five days after the candidate filing period ends. Additionally, this schematic must be publicly posted, including on the municipality's website.

The bill also defines "designate" as physically marking the electioneering space and establishes penalties for violations. Specifically, individuals who knowingly violate this provision will be guilty of a class B misdemeanor, with fines not exceeding $1,000. The act is set to take effect 60 days after its passage.
