This bill amends RSA 160-B:10 to allow municipalities that permit fireworks displays to have their local fire departments inspect the display sites. Specifically, it introduces new provisions that enable local fire departments to assess the safety of fireworks displays and determine the necessary presence of fire personnel and equipment during the event. The local fire chief will have the authority to decide the duration of the fire department's presence at the display.

Additionally, the bill maintains the existing provision that municipalities can vote to allow or prohibit the issuance of permits for fireworks displays. If a municipality has previously voted to prohibit such displays before March 1, 1992, that decision will remain in effect unless a new vote is conducted. The bill is set to take effect 60 days after its passage.
