This bill proposes changes to the New Hampshire state fire code by updating the adoption by reference of two key codes. Specifically, it amends RSA 153:1, VI-a to update the references to the Life Safety Code, NFPA 101, and the Uniform Fire Code, NFPA 1, from the 2018 editions to the 2021 editions. The bill also includes provisions of any other national code, model code, or standard referred to within the codes listed, unless they are amended in accordance with RSA 153:5.

Additionally, the bill ratifies all amendments to the state fire code that have been reviewed and approved by the state board of fire control as of September 20, 2023. The effective date of the act is set to be 60 days after its passage, with an approval date of June 14, 2024, and an effective date of August 13, 2024.
