This bill proposes to eliminate the existing requirements for the licensure and regulation of court reporters. Specifically, it seeks to repeal RSA 310-A:161 through 310-A:181, which pertain to the licensure and regulation of court reporters, RSA 310:2, II(b), which relates to the advisory board of court reporters under the Office of Professional Licensure and Certification (OPLC), and RSA 326-I:7, III(f), which provides an exemption for licensed court reporters.
The bill is set to take effect 90 days after its passage. The Legislative Budget Assistant has determined that the fiscal impact of this legislation will be less than $10,000 annually for the fiscal years 2025 through 2027. The Office of Professional Licensure and Certification was consulted regarding the fiscal implications of the bill.
