This bill establishes a committee to study the totality of circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 epidemic. The committee will examine various aspects of the pandemic, including the responses of the federal and New Hampshire governments, emergency actions, medical recommendations and mandates, involvement of supranational organizations, pharmaceutical interventions, Operation Warp Speed, information availability, transparency, and censorship efforts. The committee will also consider the findings of other investigations and committees, including that of the U.S. Senate. The committee will consist of three members of the House of Representatives, one member of the Senate, and one member appointed by the governor. They will be compensated for their mileage when attending committee duties. The committee will elect a chairperson and must hold its first meeting within 45 days of the effective date of the bill. The committee will report its findings and any recommendations for proposed legislation by November 1, 2024. The bill will take effect upon its passage.
