This bill pertains to the reporting requirements of the northern border alliance program, mandating the inclusion of additional statistics in its semi-annual report. The report, which is submitted to the governor, senate president, and speaker of the house of representatives, will now need to contain not only measurable program results and a detailed accounting of program funding and uses but also specific data regarding law enforcement activities.

The new data to be included in the report consists of the number of persons arrested, cited, and subjected to a field stop or warning. Additionally, the report must provide aggregate data on the municipality and country of residence for each person in these categories. For those who are arrested or cited, the report must also include the race of the individuals, provided this information is available on the complaint, summons, or citation. The first report with these new requirements is due by December 31, 2023. The act will take effect 60 days after its passage.
