This bill repeals the liquor commission fund and makes changes to the oversight of liquor commission funding. It removes the requirement for the state treasurer to credit all gross revenue derived by the commission to the liquor commission fund and instead directs the revenue to be deposited into the general fund. The bill also removes the requirement for a portion of the gross profits derived by the commission to be deposited into the alcohol abuse prevention and treatment fund and instead directs the amount of the deposit to be based on an appropriation included in the state operating budget. Additionally, the bill allows the commissioner to transfer funds within and among all accounting units within the commission's operating budget and to create accounting units and expenditure classes as necessary for the efficient management of the liquor commission. The bill also repeals several sections of law related to the liquor commission fund. The bill takes effect on July 1, 2025.
