This bill establishes a commission to study the barriers to electric vehicle sales and use in New Hampshire and propose potential solutions. The commission will consist of members from the legislature, as well as representatives from the departments of environmental services, transportation, and education, as well as Clean Energy NH, the Alliance for Automobile Innovation, and the Automobile Dealers Association. The commission will report its findings and recommendations to the relevant government officials and the state library by December 31, 2026. Additionally, the bill repeals an existing law related to a similar commission.

The bill also specifies that legislative members of the commission will receive mileage reimbursement at the legislative rate when attending to the duties of the commission. The effective date of the repeal of the existing law is December 31, 2026, while the remainder of the bill will take effect upon its passage.
