This bill requires fiber optic communications providers to prioritize the restoration of communication and Internet access for critical infrastructure of public safety and public health organizations over commercial and residential customers. It adds a new section to RSA 362, stating that providers of communications services through fiber optic cables must prioritize the restoration of service for public safety and public health organizations in the event of a disruption. The bill does not include any deletions from current law. The bill will take effect 60 days after its passage.
