This bill allows the board of dental examiners to grant a limited dental license to applicants licensed in another country. It amends RSA 317-A:24 to include provisions for granting a limited license to international applicants. The board may grant a limited license to an applicant licensed in another country to serve as a limited license dental intern in a hospital or other institution maintained by the state, county, or municipality, or a hospital or dental infirmary incorporated under the laws of the state. The applicant must be of good moral character, meet all eligibility requirements, and submit all required information to the board.

The fiscal impact of this bill is indeterminable. The Office of Professional Licensure and Certification (OPLC) states that since this is a new license type, there won't be a predetermined fee in place yet. The OPLC cannot predict the number of applications they will receive for the limited license, but they anticipate an increase in revenue. There will be no increase in expenditures as the OPLC can absorb any additional costs into their existing operating budget.
