This bill amends RSA 211:49-d to exempt certain persons from requiring a New Hampshire landing license if they are not landing for the purpose of selling the lobster or crab they have caught. Currently, any person who wishes to transport lobsters and crabs taken outside the jurisdiction of the state and land them in New Hampshire must first obtain a landing license. This license allows the licensee to sell the lobster and crab. The fee for annual licenses is set by the executive director. However, under this bill, a person who is not landing for the purpose of sale of the lobster or crab would be exempt from the requirement of obtaining a landing license. The bill will take effect 60 days after its passage.
