This bill amends the definition of a plumbing apprentice to include an exemption for those who have completed 300 hours of classroom training and 4,000 hours of field experience. These apprentices would be allowed to work without direct supervision in the field under the responsibility of their licensed sponsor. The bill will take effect 60 days after its passage.
