This bill introduces a prohibition on the recreational use of Off-Highway Recreational Vehicles (OHRVs) on designated trails. It amends RSA 215-A:6 by adding a new paragraph (XII) which states that no OHRV registered in the state or any other jurisdiction, except those registered under RSA 261:41-a, may be used recreationally on designated OHRV trails. Additionally, the bill amends RSA 215-A:21 by inserting a new paragraph (XI) to reinforce the same prohibition on recreational use on designated trails for registered OHRVs.

The act specifies that the prohibition applies to OHRVs registered both within the state and in other jurisdictions, with the exception of those registered for specific purposes as outlined in RSA 261:41-a. The bill was approved on August 4, 2023, and will become effective 60 days after its passage, which sets the effective date as October 3, 2023.
