This bill amends the existing laws governing bingo games, specifically focusing on "carry-over coverall" games. The definition of a "carry-over coverall" is revised to state that a prize is awarded to the player who achieves coverall within 49 or fewer balls, a change from the previous limit of 50 balls. Additionally, if no player achieves coverall within this new limit, all remaining funds after prize payouts will be rolled over to subsequent game dates instead of simply accumulating as previously stated.
Furthermore, the bill increases the maximum total value of prizes that can be awarded on a single game date from $4,000 to $6,000, with up to $500 of that amount potentially provided by the commercial hall. New provisions are also introduced, allowing for approved game patterns to be played during the carry-over game and the option for a second chance coverall to be offered after the initial coverall is achieved, with predetermined prizes drawn from the accumulated carry-over. The changes are set to take effect on July 1, 2025.
