Throughout his tenure, Ken provided essential weather coverage and critical warnings during significant weather events, including the 1997 snowstorm, the Hallam tornado in 2004, the statewide floods in 2019, and the Arbor Day tornado outbreak in 2024.

In recognition of his distinguished contributions to broadcasting and public safety, Ken Siemek will be inducted into the Nebraska Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame.
