Additionally, the bill introduces provisions for crisis assistance payments, allowing the Department of Health and Human Services to provide payments of up to eight hundred dollars per program year to eligible households. It also grants the department the authority to authorize payments exceeding this amount in cases of extenuating circumstances. The original section 68-1215 is repealed as part of this legislative update.
