The resolution proposes an interim study to evaluate the credentialing requirements for lobbyists in alignment with the Occupational Board Reform Act. The study aims to assess whether the current regulations effectively protect consumers from significant harms while also safeguarding individuals' rights to pursue lawful occupations. It will examine if the existing framework is the least restrictive necessary for public safety, promotes competition, and encourages innovation.

The Government, Military and Veterans Affairs Committee of the Nebraska Legislature is tasked with conducting this study. Upon completion, the committee is required to report its findings and recommendations to the Legislative Council or the Legislature, ensuring that any proposed changes align with the principles outlined in the Occupational Board Reform Act.
