The resolution proposes an interim study to evaluate the credentialing requirements for lobbyists in alignment with the Occupational Board Reform Act. The study aims to assess whether the current regulations are the least restrictive necessary to protect consumers from significant harms, while also safeguarding individuals' rights to pursue lawful occupations. Additionally, it seeks to determine if the regulations promote competition, innovation, and align with the principles outlined in the Occupational Board Reform Act.

The Government, Military and Veterans Affairs Committee of the Nebraska Legislature is tasked with conducting this interim study. Upon completion, the committee is required to report its findings and recommendations to the Legislative Council or the Legislature, ensuring that the review process is thorough and that any necessary changes to lobbyist regulations are considered.
