The Nebraska Head Start Association is celebrating its sixtieth anniversary, having been established in May 1963. The association plays a crucial role in supporting young children and their families by providing a comprehensive range of services, including early childhood development, education, health care, and social services. Over the years, it has positively impacted the lives of more than 5,620 individuals through its various programs, which include Center-Based services, Home-Based services, and Early Head Start-Child Care Partnerships, particularly benefiting communities associated with three federally recognized Native American tribes in Nebraska.

In recognition of the association's significant contributions to early childhood education and support for vulnerable families, the Nebraska Legislature has passed a resolution congratulating the Nebraska Head Start Association on its milestone anniversary. The resolution acknowledges the dedication of the association's staff and leaders in helping children succeed in school and life, and it calls for a copy of the resolution to be sent to the association as a formal acknowledgment of their service to the community.
