The One Hundred Ninth Legislature of Nebraska has passed a resolution congratulating Sustainable Beef, LLC on the successful opening of its meat processing facility in North Platte. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by over a thousand people, marking a significant milestone for the company and the local community. The facility is expected to support cattle producers by providing a local outlet for quality cattle at premium prices, thereby fostering long-term growth in the North Platte region.

Sustainable Beef, which represents a collaborative effort among cattle producers, aims to integrate operations from birth to retail, enhancing the local agricultural economy. The $400 million plant is projected to process approximately 1,500 cattle daily and create around 850 jobs, contributing to the economic development of the area. The resolution also includes a directive to send a copy to Sustainable Beef as a formal acknowledgment of their achievement.
