The resolution celebrates the achievements of the Pender High School Girls Basketball Team, known as the Lady Pendragons, who successfully defended their title as Class D1 State Champions during the 2024-2025 season. The team not only won the East Husker Conference title and finished the regular season with an impressive record of 22-2, but they also led all Class D1 schools in power points. Their victory in the Class D1 district final and subsequent win against the Elm Creek Buffaloes in the state championship game marked their third consecutive state title, with the Lady Pendragons scoring 74 points, the second-highest in a Class D1 championship game. Notable performances included Mady Dolliver breaking the all-class record for three-point shots in State Tournament play.

Additionally, the resolution acknowledges the exceptional coaching of Jason Dolliver, particularly his innovative five-out offense strategy, and recognizes the Pender School District for its commitment to academic excellence, having been ranked as the top school district in Nebraska based on standardized test scores. The Legislature expresses its pride in the accomplishments of the Lady Pendragons and directs that a copy of the resolution be sent to Coach Jason Dolliver and the Superintendent of the Pender School District.
