The Nebraska Legislature has passed a resolution to congratulate Tyson Terry, a wrestler from Omaha North High School, for his remarkable achievement at the 2025 Nebraska School Activities Association State Wrestling Tournament held from February 20 to February 22. Terry won the Boys Class A 285-pound State Wrestling Championship by defeating Roberto Macias-Sidzyik from Creighton Preparatory School. Notably, he made history by becoming the first wrestler in Nebraska to win four state championships in the heavyweight division, finishing his high school career with an impressive record of 169-0.

The resolution acknowledges the importance of recognizing the academic, athletic, and artistic accomplishments of the youth in Nebraska. In addition to congratulating Terry on his victory, the Legislature has decided to send copies of the resolution to both Omaha North High School and Tyson Terry himself, celebrating his outstanding contributions to the sport and the state.
