The resolution from the One Hundred Ninth Legislature of Nebraska recognizes the Burwell High School boys wrestling team for their outstanding achievement in winning the Class D State Championship at the 2025 Nebraska School Activities Association State Wrestling Tournament, held from February 20 to February 22 at the CHI Health Center Omaha. The victory was highlighted by the performances of medalists Brody Jensen, Drew Dawe, Austin Mayfield, Trentin Brown, and Cale Buss, who contributed to the team's success.

In celebration of their championship win, the Burwell community organized a welcoming event, where the Burwell Fire Department escorted the team to the town square. The resolution acknowledges the collective effort and support from teachers, administrators, parents, and the community that made this achievement possible. The Nebraska Legislature extends its congratulations to the wrestling team and plans to send a copy of the resolution to Burwell Public Schools.
