Sheriff Davis began his career at the age of eighteen as a dispatcher and eventually became the Sarpy County Sheriff in 2005 after obtaining his law enforcement officer certification. Throughout his tenure, he implemented significant programs such as Project Lifesaver, which provides tracking bracelets for individuals with Autism, Alzheimer's, and Down Syndrome, as well as introducing the Standard Response Protocol and Active Shooter Training to local schools and law enforcement agencies.

The Nebraska Legislature recognizes Sheriff Davis's impactful career and personal commitment to the community, which has earned him numerous awards and accolades. The resolution expresses congratulations to Sheriff Davis for his successful public service and directs that copies of the resolution be sent to him and the Sarpy County Sheriff's Office.
