The Nebraska Academic Decathlon State Championship took place on February 15, 2025, at Bellevue University in Omaha, where Seward High School emerged victorious in the Medium School Division, outperforming six other schools. The competition involved a series of online and in-person tests covering subjects such as economics, literature, math, language arts, and social science, along with a speech presentation, personal interview, and an essay on the theme "Our Changing Climate." The Seward High School team, consisting of twelve members, achieved a total of twenty-two medals, with Jack Schulz recognized as the top team scorer.

In recognition of this significant achievement, the Nebraska Legislature has passed a resolution congratulating the Seward High School Academic Decathlon team for their success. The resolution acknowledges the hard work and support from teachers, administrators, parents, and the community that contributed to the team's accomplishment. Copies of the resolution will be sent to the team and their coach, Noelle Baker, to honor their dedication and success in the competition.
