The resolution celebrates the achievements of the Gretna High School Dragons softball team, which won the 2024 Nebraska School Activities Association Class A State Softball Championship. The championship game, held at the Smith Softball Complex in Hastings, saw the Dragons secure an impressive 8-0 victory over the Millard North Mustangs. Key player Alexis Jensen delivered an outstanding performance, striking out fifteen batters and hitting a three-run homer, leading the team to a decisive win and marking their first Class A State Softball Championship title.

Additionally, the resolution highlights the Dragons' remarkable season, finishing with a perfect 38-0 record, making them only the second Class A softball program to achieve an undefeated season. The Nebraska Legislature recognizes the importance of academic, athletic, and artistic accomplishments among the youth in the state and extends its congratulations to the team, with copies of the resolution to be sent to Gretna High School.
