This bill amends Nebraska's game and parks laws, primarily adjusting permit fees and the issuance of hunting permits. The annual permit fee for a resident motor vehicle is increased from thirty-five dollars to fifty dollars, and the temporary permit fee rises from seven dollars to ten dollars. Additionally, the bill allows for the auctioning of up to two mountain sheep permits, doubling the previous limit. The commission is also empowered to establish an issuing fee for permits, now specified as pursuant to section 37-406, replacing the previous maximum fee of one dollar. New provisions for limited hunting permits for elk, deer, antelope, and wild turkey are introduced, offering reduced fees for qualifying landowners based on land acreage.

Moreover, the bill amends Section 37-1214 regarding motorboat registration, requiring owners to register or renew every three years with fees based on boat class. The registration fees are set at twenty-eight dollars for Class 1 boats, fifty-one dollars for Class 2, seventy-two dollars and fifty cents for Class 3, and one hundred twenty dollars for Class 4. It also allows up to ten dollars of the registration fees to support the Aquatic Invasive Species Program. Changes to the aquatic invasive species stamp for non-Nebraska registered motorboats are included, with the cost adjusted to a range of ten to thirty dollars, replacing the previous maximum of fifteen dollars. Additional information requirements for registration applications are specified, and several sections of existing law related to motorboat registration are repealed.
