This bill amends section 24-201.01 of the Revised Statutes Cumulative Supplement, 2024, to update the salary structure for the Chief Justice and judges of the Supreme Court of Nebraska. The previous salary amounts set for July 1, 2022, and July 1, 2023, are deleted, and new salary figures are inserted. Specifically, the salary will be $225,055.35 on July 1, 2024, followed by increases to $234,057.56 on July 1, 2025, and $243,419.87 on July 1, 2026.

The bill also establishes that it will become operative on July 1, 2025, and repeals the original section 24-201.01. Additionally, it declares an emergency, allowing the act to take effect immediately upon passage and approval.
