1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to appropriate funds to the
2 Department of Health and Human Services; and to declare an
3 emergency.
4 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated $2,500,000 from the General
2 Fund for FY2024-25 to the Department of Health and Human Services to
3 provide a grant to a licensed and accredited residential child-caring
4 agency in a city of the primary class to enhance emergency shelter
5 facilities and provide access to services for juveniles involved in the
6 child welfare and juvenile justice systems in residential and community-
7 based settings.
8 Sec. 2. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when
9 passed and approved according to law.
