1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to state legislative intent
2 to appropriate money to the Department of Health and Human Services
3 for evidence-based early intervention nurse home visitation
4 programs; and to declare an emergency.
5 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to appropriate (1)
2 $500,000 from the Medicaid Managed Care Excess Profit Fund for FY2023-24
3 and (2) $500,000 from the Medicaid Managed Care Excess Profit Fund for
4 FY2024-25 to the Department of Health and Human Services, for Program
5 514, for evidence-based early intervention nurse home visitation
6 programs.
7 Sec. 2. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when
8 passed and approved according to law.
