1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to appropriate funds to the
2 Department of Economic Development; and to declare an emergency.
3 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated $20,000,000 from the
2 General Fund for FY2023-24 to the Department of Economic Development, for
3 Program 601, for purposes of the workforce housing grant program
4 established in section 81-1229.
5 There is included in the appropriation to this program for FY2023-24
6 $20,000,000 General Funds for state aid, which shall only be used for
7 such purpose.
8 Sec. 2. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when
9 passed and approved according to law.
