1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to state intent regarding
2 appropriations; and to declare an emergency.
3 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to appropriate an
2 additional $600,000 from the General Fund for FY2023-24 to the Supreme
3 Court, Agency 5, for Court Administration, Program No. 34, to increase
4 the payments for interpreter services for deaf and hard of hearing
5 persons and for persons unable to communicate the English language, which
6 shall only be used for such purpose.
7 Sec. 2. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when
8 passed and approved according to law.
