1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to education; to prohibit the suspension of
2 students in pre-kindergarten through second grade in a school in a
3 city of the metropolitan class as prescribed.
4 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. A school in a city of the metropolitan class shall not
2 allow the suspension of a student in pre-kindergarten through second
3 grade. Each school in a city of the metropolitan class shall develop a
4 policy to implement this section which shall include disciplinary
5 measures inside the school as an alternative to suspension.
