1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to appropriate funds from
2 the Nebraska Opioid Recovery Fund to the State Fire Marshal as
3 prescribed; and to declare an emergency.
4 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated (1) $1,125,000 from the
2 Nebraska Opioid Recovery Fund for FY2023-24 and (2) $1,125,000 from the
3 Nebraska Opioid Recovery Fund for FY2024-25 to the State Fire Marshal,
4 Program 340, to connect all first responders who are at a higher risk of
5 opioid exposure and dependency to behavioral health services, supports,
6 and training and for a statewide wellness learning plan that includes
7 anonymous assessments, education, and awareness to promote resiliency
8 development.
9 Sec. 2. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when
10 passed and approved according to law.
