1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to energy; to state intent to seek funds from
2 the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022.
3 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to seek all funds
2 made available to the state through the federal Department of Energy, the
3 federal Environmental Protection Agency, the federal Department of the
4 Interior, the federal Department of Transportation, or the federal
5 Department of Agriculture from the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 for
6 the purposes of:
7 (1) Increasing energy efficiency in homes and businesses;
8 (2) Supporting electric vehicle infrastructure;
9 (3) Upgrading utility infrastructure;
10 (4) Assisting in transition to cleaner energy;
11 (5) Supporting agricultural practices that are more drought
12 resistant and decrease the use of water and fertilizer; and
13 (6) Create jobs and stimulate the economy.
