1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to the Critical Incident Stress Management
2 Act; to amend section 71-7113, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska;
3 to require state correctional employees to complete mental health
4 training as prescribed; and to repeal the original section.
5 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. Section 71-7113, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska, is
2 amended to read:
3 71-7113 All services available and provided to emergency service
4 personnel under the Critical Incident Stress Management Act shall also be
5 available and provided to state correctional employees for incidents
6 which occur in the course of their duties or at their worksite. State
7 correctional employees shall be required to complete ten hours of
8 training to include resiliency and other self-care training to promote
9 the mental health of such employees.
10 Sec. 2. Original section 71-7113, Reissue Revised Statutes of
11 Nebraska, is repealed.
