2 Services; to amend section 71-561, Revised Statutes Cumulative
3 Supplement, 2022; to create the position of State Dementia Director;
4 and to repeal the original section.
5 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. Section 71-561, Revised Statutes Cumulative Supplement,
2 2022, is amended to read:
3 71-561 Sections 71-561 to 71-567 and section 2 of this act shall be
4 known and may be cited as the Alzheimer's Disease and Other Dementia
5 Support Act.
6 Sec. 2. There is hereby created the position of State Dementia
7 Director within the Department of Health and Human Services. The director
8 shall (1) facilitate policy implementation to support persons with
9 dementia and their family caregivers and (2) coordinate and manage the
10 Alzheimer's Disease and Other Dementia Advisory Council.
11 Sec. 3. Original section 71-561, Revised Statutes Cumulative
12 Supplement, 2022, is repealed.
