1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to health care facilities; to provide for a
2 grant to certain health care facilities; and to declare an
3 emergency.
4 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. The Department of Health and Human Services shall award
2 a one-time grant to assist a rehabilitation hospital that has a distinct
3 nursing facility part, that is located in Nebraska, and that has a
4 capacity to provide post-acute long-term care to medicaid patients. The
5 grant shall include thirty million dollars for infrastructure and
6 facilities upgrades. The grant shall be expended no later than December
7 31, 2026.
8 Sec. 2. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when
9 passed and approved according to law.
