1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to the Game and Parks Commission; to amend
2 section 37-104, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska; to provide for
3 the relocation of commission headquarters as prescribed; and to
4 repeal the original section.
5 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. Section 37-104, Reissue Revised Statutes of Nebraska, is
2 amended to read:
3 37-104 (1) Regular meetings of the Game and Parks Commission shall
4 be held quarterly. Special meetings may be held upon call of the
5 chairperson or pursuant to a call signed by three other members, of which
6 the chairperson shall have three days' written notice. No official action
7 shall be taken except at a public meeting at the headquarters of the
8 commission or at a public meeting at a location within the state as
9 determined by a majority of members of the commission. Four members of
10 the commission shall constitute a quorum for the transaction of business.
11 (2) Until January 1, 2025, all All regular meetings held in Lincoln,
12 Nebraska, shall be held in suitable offices to be provided under the
13 authority of Chapter 72, article 14. The Game and Parks Commission is
14 authorized to enter into an agreement with the city of Lincoln providing
15 for the supplying by the city of Lincoln to the State of Nebraska for the
16 commission of a headquarters office building and related buildings and
17 facilities therefor, including the parking of motor vehicles, to be
18 located on real estate which is north of Holdrege Street and east of 33rd
19 Street.
20 (3) Beginning January 1, 2025, the headquarters for the Game and
21 Parks Commission shall be located in Sidney, Nebraska. All regular
22 meetings shall be held in Sidney in suitable offices to be provided under
23 the authority of Chapter 72, article 14. The commission is authorized to
24 enter into an agreement with the city of Sidney providing for the
25 supplying by the city of Sidney to the State of Nebraska for the
26 commission of a headquarters office building and related buildings and
27 facilities, including parking for motor vehicles, and which may include
28 the rental of existing building and facility space.
29 Sec. 2. Original section 37-104, Reissue Revised Statutes of
30 Nebraska, is repealed.
