1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to appropriate Federal
2 Funds to the Department of Environment and Energy for reverse
3 osmosis systems; and to declare an emergency.
4 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated (1) $3,250,000 from Federal
2 Funds for FY2023-24 and (2) $3,250,000 from Federal Funds for FY2024-25
3 to the Department of Environment and Energy, Agency 84, Program 513, for
4 reverse osmosis systems, which shall only be used for such purpose. The
5 Federal Funds appropriated in this section are from the funds allocated
6 to the State of Nebraska from the federal Coronavirus State Fiscal
7 Recovery Fund pursuant to the federal American Rescue Plan Act of 2021,
8 42 U.S.C. 802, as amended.
9 Sec. 2. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when
10 passed and approved according to law.
