1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to appropriate funds from
2 the General Fund for purposes of the meatpacking industry worker
3 rights coordinator; and to declare an emergency.
4 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. There is hereby appropriated (1) $75,000 from the
2 General Fund for FY2023-24 and (2) $75,000 from the General Fund for
3 FY2024-25 to the Department of Labor for the purpose of making the
4 meatpacking industry worker rights coordinator a full-time position.
5 Sec. 2. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when
6 passed and approved according to law.
