1 A BILL FOR AN ACT relating to appropriations; to state legislative intent
2 to appropriate funds from the General Fund to the Department of
3 Health and Human Services; and to declare an emergency.
4 Be it enacted by the people of the State of Nebraska,

1 Section 1. It is the intent of the Legislature to appropriate
2 twenty million dollars from the General Fund for FY2023-24 to the
3 Department of Health and Human Services, Agency 25, Program 347, Public
4 Assistance, for state aid to be used only to supplement the federally
5 funded Community Services Block Grant for Nebraska community action
6 agencies to support capital campaigns which can include purchase,
7 renovation, and other costs relating to facilities for the purpose of
8 providing expanded services.
9 Sec. 2. Since an emergency exists, this act takes effect when
10 passed and approved according to law.
